About

Artists Statement

I was born in Chicago, grew up in Omaha and moved back to Chicago in my teens. I attended Fine Art classes at the University of Illinois and the College of DuPage. It was this time of experimentation that I discovered photography and it continues to be my main passion and means of expression. I am self taught.

I have had adventures on the urban streets of Chicago and in the rural woods of the country. When I go out to shoot , I do not have any preconceived notions of what subjects I want to capture. I wander around in search of serendipity. I am a flanuer. I stroll through the world with an open eye. These adventures have allowed me to break free of my routines in search of the images that I share with others. I now reside in the mountains of Tennessee.
